The Pelican ARGO 100 …Easy Like Sunday Morning!

The Pelican ARGO 100 is maybe the best starter kayak on the market. Starting around $200 bucks, this very well made kayak is just the best bang for the buck kayak we’ve found. There are other models out there in the same range that you can find at your local “Holy Crap is she wearing pants Mart,” but you can really feel the difference in quality and material. It has enough capacity for larger yakkers, but is also a good kayak for kids. The hull is remarkably strong for a kayak in this price range. It’s built on a twin-arched multi chine hull platform. This 10 foot sit-in kayak is easy to paddle and maneuver on smaller lakes and rivers. The ARGO 100 kayak allows you to keep your tail dry which is important, but it’s also remarkably stable due to its low center of gravity. It has sturdy adjustable footrests, which is extremely rare in a kayak in this price range. Even more importantly, the ARGO has an adjustable padded backrest with seat cushion. We always stress bootie comfort and this yak has it in spades. The ergonomic seat is actually quite comfortable. It’s not a cloud of…..well you know but it’s really comfortable. The ARGO also comes in an Angler edition with swivel and flush mount rod holders, front storage hatch with bungee, and a tank well bungeed to secure your fishing gear. The ARGO is made of  RAM-X™ It’s a lightweight and impact-resistant material that allows easy transport. It’s pretty easy for one person to carry and lift up to put on top of a standard SUV.  If this kayak had theme music it would be Lionel Ritchie…cause it’s easy like Sunday morning.
