The Pelican Pusuit 80x …The Little Kayak that Could!

This is an amazing kayak for smaller paddlers…especially yaklings(children). The Pelican Pursuit 80X 7’9″ kayak features durable Ram-X™ construction with Twin Sheet Thermoforming (TST) technology and a shallow V chine hull design which makes it extremely strong yet remarkably light. Someone like myself, who isn’t exactly a gym rat, can carry it easily and even most children or really small adults (like my wife) can carry it easily. It also has a really nice molded bottle holder. Elastic bungee cords on the stern allowing you to easily stow your gear. It also has handles on the front and back which makes it much easier to carry. The handles aren’t extremely sturdy, but they more than weight suffice considering the lightweight design. The drain plug is also a nice plus. Due to its lightweight, the kayak can be easily maneuvered to drain water that may have gotten into the cockpit.
At first glance, you may think this kayak is too small for anyone but a child. In actuality, it’s as wide as an adult model and the design allows for quite a bit of space. I wouldn’t suggest it for anyone over about 5’7”, but a smaller adult could paddle this puppy comfortably. I would definitely recommend this little yak.
